PRCUA 58th National Golf
Tournament
Hosted by Society 78
The 58th National PRCUA
Golf Tournament was held at Chase Hammond Golf Club in Muskegon, MI on July
10th. It was hosted by St. Michael Society #78. Everyone thanked the Lord
for the beautiful weather we enjoyed all weekend. Festivities commenced on
Friday afternoon from 2 to 7 pm with a reception in the beautiful
hospitality room overlooking Muskegon Lake. Bagel sandwiches, cheese ball
and beverages were served. Seeing many members from previous sporting events
only confirmed that this would be a good outing. This was followed by
karaoke from 8 pm to midnight at the Society’s Hall. Father Stan's Society
#718 from Detroit, MI, showed up on the bus, and sang and danced until the
driver shuffled them out.
The course was in great
shape on Saturday for the tournament… except for “too many trees”, I heard.
I'm told that if you play in the short grass there are no trees. Coffee,
doughnuts, orange juice and polka music was enjoyed at the 8 am flight. Free
hotdogs and water were served throughout the entire tournament. An authentic
Polish dinner was served that evening at the Hall. The Garbinski Polka Band
provided entertainment for the evening. Dancing and festivities went on
midnight. Awards for flight winners were presented.
