Madonna U.
Receives Donation from PRCUA
On June
21, 2008, Sr. Rose Marie Kujawa, CSSF, President of Madonna University in
Livonia, MI, addressed the PRCUA Board of Directors at the Home Office in
Chicago, IL. She thanked them for initiating a Matching Money Campaign to
benefit the University’s Leading the Way Campaign. The goal of the campaign
is the construction of a new academic building.
The PRCUA
agreed to match members’ donations up to $10,000 and to donate the money
toward Cardinals Square. Walter Knysz, a PRCUA member and Chair of the
Foundation Board at Madonna U., pledged $15,000 towards Cardinals Square to
increase the PRCUA challenge gift matching fund total from $10,000 to
$25,000.
Sr. Rose
Marie told the PRCUA Board of Directors that the University wants to “give
back” to the PRCUA. She suggested encouraging their students to become
members and deputies and also by allowing PRCUA to use MU’s television
studio for videotaping. She offered to allow the Polish Roman Catholic Union
of America to use the facility’s meeting rooms to train new agents.
Pres.
Ozog added that Sister Kujawa agreed to inform MU employees of PRCUA annuity
products in light of the upcoming IRS regulation changes that would allow
them to transfer their pension benefits at the PRCUA.
President
Ozog then presented Sr. Kujawa with a check for $5,000 from Michigan Friends
of the Cardinal of Detroit.
President
