Bonus Dividends Declared
Chicago, IL -
During their quarterly meeting, held on
December 4, 2004, in Chicago, the Board of Directors of the Polish Roman
Catholic Union of America declared a Special Bonus Dividend which will be
automatically distributed, during the year 2005, to all PRCUA members who
are eligible to receive a dividend. The special dividend shall not exceed a
total of $600,000 for the entire membership. This is the second consecutive
year of $600,000 bonus dividends. In the years 2001, 2002, 2003, $300,000 in
Bonus Dividends were declared. This brings the five-year total of $2,100,000
of special dividends.
On cash value insurance programs, members receive a yearly dividend after
the second year of membership. Most dividends are used to purchase
additional insurance coverage. These dividends are paid on both active and
paid-up life insurance certificates.
The Special Bonus Dividends will be paid at the same period as the annual
dividend, which is the anniversary date of the insurance certificate. If a member
receives a cash dividend, payment of this Special Bonus Dividend will be
included in the check unless the PRCUA is otherwise advised to change the
option to purchase more insurance. The Special Bonus Dividend will be also
used to purchase additional life insurance coverage for members who chose
this option when initially purchased their certificate.
The exact amount of the bonus is calculated on an individual basis,
depending on the amount of the certificate and the length of time the person
has been a member. Members do not have to take any sort of action in order
to get the bonus dividend – it will be automatically distributed on the
anniversary date of the certificate in effect in the year 2005.
Please note: The exact amount of the Special Bonus Dividend for individual
members will not be available until March of 2005.
