Special Bonus Dividend Declared
CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 8,
2001 - During the quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors held on
Saturday December 1, 2001 a Special Bonus Dividend was declared. This
special dividend will be paid to all eligible members in year 2002. The
special dividend shall not exceed a total of $300,000 for the entire
membership.
This is the second
consecutive year the Board of Directors declared such a special dividend.
President Wallace M. Ozog is confident that the organization has enough
vitality and resources to continue as a vibrant organization. "We are
determined to maximize the benefits to all of our members". He further
stated that "benefits not only in the form of fraternal programs such a
sports, language, dance and social, but fraternal insurance benefits for all
the members".
Considering the economic
situation in America, the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America is
concerned with sharing the success with our members. Premium income this
year is higher than last year. The administration is also taking positive
measures to control expenses and is striving to improve our investment
return. Maintaining this success gives us the ability to pass on the
benefits to our members.
The year 2001 saw the
introduction of the annuity program in all states which we are licensed to
do business. President Ozog is confident that this program will not only
benefit the members, but the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America.
The Special Bonus Dividend
will be paid at the same period as the annual dividend, which is the
anniversary date of the insurance certificate. If a member receives a cash
dividend, payment of this Special Bonus Dividend will be included in the
check unless the PRCUA is advised to change the option to purchase more
insurance. The Special Bonus will also be used to purchase additional life
insurance coverage for members who chose this option when they initially
purchased their certificate.
The exact amount of the
bonus dividend is calculated on an individual basis, depending on the amount
of the insurance certificate and the length of time the person has been a
member. Members don't have to take any sort of action in order to receive
the bonus dividend - it will be automatically distributed on the anniversary
date of the certificate in effect of the year 2002.
